Assistive Tech and Gaming

Abilities in Motion offers a wide array of programs and services to promote independence and community engagement for anyone living with a disability.

Loan Exchange Assistance Program (LEAP)

Are you in need of assistive equipment, technology, or other durable medical equipment? We can loan walkers, canes, wheelchairs, shower benches, and other equipment to enable individuals to maintain their independence, completely free of charge. We also accept new and gently used equipment to assist those in need throughout our community.

Adaptive Gaming

We have an inclusive gaming center designed with adaptive technology to help individuals of all abilities engage and enjoy the gaming community. Players can bring their peripherals or use our equipment to access games and platforms. We regularly hold fun competitions and provide a supportive environment for all. View our schedule of events.

Smart Home Device Training

Smart devices can make life easier, but they are not always easy to understand or set up. We teach individuals how to use smart home technology to control various aspects of their home with voice commands, like lighting, temperature, door locks, appliances, and more. These technologies can help individuals with disabilities maximize independence and ease of use for everyday items. Some of the devices we can assist with include:

Smart Locks
Smart Thermostats
Smart Speakers
Smart Blinds
Smart Voice Assistants
Robot vacuums
Smart Home Cameras
3D Printing

We offer 3D printing services for a variety of assistive devices. Plastic bottle openers, key turners, writing assist devices, and grocery bag carriers are some examples of printed items. We are developing a full catalog of 3D printing plans that will enable consumers to submit requests for devices to improve their daily lives.
